Three people were taken into custody Thursday after officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department and Adult Parole Authority officers converged on a downtown apartment around 3:50 p.m.
Cody A. Anderson, 31, of 116 W. Chillicothe Ave., Apt. 4, was charged with possession of heroin, possess of drug abuse instruments and violating parole.
Kristen Fulkerson, 30, and Dale R. Evans, 34, both of 547 E. Columbus Ave., Apt. 17, each was arrested for parole violations.
An officer on patrol observed Evans’ pickup truck parked in front of Anderson’s apartment and knew both were wanted on parole violations.
He contacted the APA officers and together they approached the apartment.
Anderson came out and was taken into custody while Evans locked the door and would not come out immediately. Evans finally emerged as did Fulkerson.
He told officers that Anderson had concealed heroin in his rectum.
Anderson was confronted with the information and removed the foil wrapped drugs.
Inside the residence, officers recovered hypodermic needles, a crack pipe, digital scales, spoons and a prescription pill.
Anderson’s urine was tested and it was positive for marijuana, morphine, cocaine and fentanyl.
Evans also tested positive for cocaine, morphine and fentanyl.
All three were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
• Jonathan P. O’Hara, 30, of Bellefontaine, was served warrants for failure to appear and theft upon his Thursday release from the Tri-County Regional Jail in Mechanicsburg.
