Shelby Brown, 23, and Kyle L. Jester, 24, both of 436 Walker St., were charged Thursday after officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to the residence on reported overdoses.
Mr. Jester was charged with possession of a dangerous drug and arrested on a Sidney Municipal Court warrant. Ms. Brown was charged with possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
He was not home at the time of the overdoses and she reported the overdoses occurred in a bathroom out of her view. She and another woman kicked holes in the bathroom door to get the men out.
Around 10:55 p.m., officers found James Ball unresponsive and on the living room floor. Cardiopulminary resuscitation efforts and three doses of Narcan helped resume his breathing and pulse.
Adam Suever was breathing, but unresponsive. Three doses of Narcan brought him around. He claimed he was an alcoholic and blacked out from drinking. Both were taken to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.
Officers observed and seized illegal contraband while in the residence. Mr. Jester admitted possessing a prescription drug without a prescription
Motorist faces OVI charge
Richard E. Brisson III, 43, of 248 W. County Road 57, Huntsville, was charged Friday with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and failure to control and speeding after a crash around 7:35 p.m. Friday.
His northbound pickup truck with a trailer in tow hit the side of the railroad viaduct on Troy Road. His vehicle jackknifed, slid off the east side of the street and hit a parked vehicle and residence at 501 S. Troy Road.
Officers noted his speech was slurred and he continually swayed from side to side. He refused to field sobriety and breathalyzer tests.
He admitted to driving 45 to 50 mph on Troy prior to the crash.
Woman takes grandmother’s car
Tricia L. Slaven, 35, of 616 Garfield Ave., was charged Saturday with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She took the car of her grandmother, Linda Gray, without permission and drove to Huber Heights where police were investigating a theft complaint from a Wal-Mart in their jurisdiction.
The car was used in a reported theft of merchandise. The suspect turned herself in at the Logan County Jail around 8:30 p.m.
