One vacant council seat was filled at the recent meeting of the Zanesfield Village Council which included Mayor Bo Johns’ state of the village address.
Wayne Downing was appointed to the seat that expires Dec. 31. A seat remains vacant and anyone interested is asked to contact a council member or attend the 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, meeting at the Sloan Library.
The mayor thanked a number of people for their dedication to the village, which saw many good things happen this year, he said.
