SOUTHCHARLESTON — Troopers of the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are currently investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday in southeast Clark County and sent four people to area hospitals.

Indian Lake bus driver remembered


Indian Lake Local School District buses bore black ribbons today in honor of bus driver Yvonne Burk, 50, of Rushsylvania, who died about 7:30 p.m. Friday while driving on south U.S. Route 68 near the Logan/Champaign County line. She then lost control of her vehicle, which drove off the road. No other vehicle was involved. Grief counselors were in place at the schools today, officials reported. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home in Kenton. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Kenton. An Indian Lake squad transported Lavern Schwieterman, 83, of 9121 State Route 235, Lakeview, for injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of state routes 708 and 235 at World Class Drive just before noon Friday.
