Indian Lake area traffic changes announced

The Russells Point and Washington Township police departments will be combining efforts throughout the Village of Russells Point and northern Washington Township on Saturday, July 5. Resources will be focused on traffic enforcement with particular emphasis on the detection and apprehension of intoxicated drivers.

Wind opposition group to discuss Bellefontaine


The organization Logan Hardin Neighbors United, which opposes wind turbine development, will host a public information meeting to educate local residents about the impact of wind turbines on Bellefontaine and the surrounding area beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, July 14, at the Logan County Friendly Senior Center, 934 S. Main St.

C.R. 10 to be resurfaced next week


The Logan County Engineer’s Office announces that the Shelly Company will resurface County Road 10 from east of the Zanesfield village limit to State Route 292 beginning Monday, July 7.

The work is scheduled to continue throughout the week through July 11. Crews will work between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day, and the road will be open to local traffic and emergency vehicles only.

Stockyard crossing closing for repairs

CSX Railroad crews will work on the railroad crossing on Stockyard Road (Township Road 217) between Monday, July 7, through July 11.

The crossing, which is west of U.S. Route 68, will be closed to motor vehicle traffic.

Pockras elected to lead Reformed Presbyterian synod



Phil Pockras, 60, pastor of the Belle Center Reformed Presbyterian Church, was unanimously elected the moderator of the 183rd annual Synod Meeting of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind.
