James E. Stone, 56, of 145 Jerviss St., Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident Saturday, Nov. 5, evening at his residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to his address about 7:30 p.m. after receiving a third-party call and were met at the door by Stone. When questioned by deputies, he stepped outside and stated that nothing was going on at the residence. He was detained in a deputy’s patrol car while deputies went inside to speak with his live-in girlfriend.

The girlfriend stated that they had been drinking that evening and the defendant became angry after she threw out the remaining alcohol, saying she thought they’d had enough for the night.
She told deputies that Stone then forcibly bumped his chest into hers, which caused her to fall and hit her head on the floor. Deputies said a small amount of blood also was observed on the kitchen floor.
Stone was placed under arrest and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
