After graduating High School, she attended Capital School of Beauty Culture where she earned her degree in cosmetology. She practiced cosmetology in Bellefontaine for many years.
She married Donald L. Johnson (Her Colonel) were they raised their family in Bellefontaine. Over the years, Connie decided to leave the career in cosmetology to be at home with her children and then later in life her grandchildren.
She volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and vacation Bible school. She also worked at the Bellefontaine City Schools and for many years became the team mom to many young men that played football and baseball by bringing food to the teams after their games. She cherished her grandchildren which called her Gran. Connie was always happiest with the blessing of taking care of her family.
She also liked to travel near and far especially seeking out new places to dine out. She enjoyed gardening and collecting jewelry. But most of all she liked attending the events that her children and grandchildren participated in and was always their biggest fan.
Connie will leave a void in us all without her long conversation, her spirited demeanor, chicken pot pie and her signature Cover Girl lipstick smile. We will love you to the Moon and Back and Forever.
