Ryan L. Davidson, 27, of 2281 County Road 255, Quincy, was charged with burglary and breaking and entering relating to an incident early Monday morning.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 2309 County Road 4, Quincy, shortly after midnight on a report of an unknown man attempting to gain entry to the residence.
While en route, deputies were informed that the man was no longer at the door, but was still on the property in one of the outbuildings.
Deputies searched the area and located the suspect, later identified as Davidson, inside a chicken coop. He was ordered out of the structure at gunpoint and he complied with deputies’ commands. The defendant was placed in handcuffs and he declined needing medical attention.
He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
Driver cited after striking bridge pier
Matthew T. Amstutz, 18, of Richwood, was cited for failure to control relating to a non-injury crash Monday morning on County Road 5.
Deputies report he was operating a northbound 2016 Chevrolet Equinox about 10:50 a.m. when he failed to negotiate the intersection with County Road 25. His vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck a bridge pier.
The driver was wearing his seat belt and was cited for failure to control. Damage was heavy to the vehicle.
