The West Liberty Historical Society is excited to announce the opening of the Town Hall Opera House. The first public event will be a free concert on Friday, June 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. by “Just Friends,” a local trio of Keith and Kathy LeVan and Bill Purk. Donations will be accepted for renovating the stage. The first ever event in the Opera House was the “Dedication Hop” on June 10, 1869. The original stenciled walls and ceiling have been restored with the financial help of the Columbus Foundation’s Mary Eleanor Morris Fund, The People’s Savings and Loan and many individuals. The room is now available for rental by calling (937) 650-1869. (SUBMITTED PHOTO)
