Indian Lake Schools Board of Education members received special gifts from the Indian Lake Middle School Kindness Club at their Tuesday evening board meeting in recognition of January as School Board Appreciation Month.
The Kindness Club is led by staff members Hillary Wickline and Mandy Tidwell.
The gifts were presented to Board President Gabe Wickline, Vice President Chad Ross and members Scott Staley, Kim Boswell and Steve Spath.
In financial matters, the board also accepted an $88,790 bid through META Cooperative Purchasing to purchase a 78-passenger bus to be delivered this summer.
Members accepted the School Safety Grant in the amount of $7,300.98, along with seven Logan County Electric Cooperative Energizing Education grants awarded to district teachers that total $3,392.87.
The board also considered the 2021-22 Indian Lake Schools calendar that was chosen by staff members and presented by Superintendent Rob Underwood.
After a period of public comment, they will vote on the calendar at next month’s meeting, slated for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the board office.
