He and Evelyn spent the next 35 years loving every part of the Georgian lifestyle. John’s passion for his career was evident in his willingness to share his knowledge with anyone that wanted to learn.
His dedication was not only limited to steel work but also his service in the United States Marine Corp. John served for two years in World War II in the Pacific and flew over 200 combat missions as a Tailgunner in an SBD Plane and was shot down twice. John was a survivor and during one crash, he and his pilot hid for over a week before they were rescued in enemy territory.
