Benjamin Logan’s volleyball team bounced host Northwestern 25-11, 25-13, 25-16 on Thursday in a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division matchup.
The Raiders boost their record to 7-3 overall and 3-1 in the CBC Mad River division. The Warriors fall to 2-7, 0-4.
Kylie Frazier paced the Ben Logan offense with nine kills and dished out 15 assists, Lynzee Cronkleton had nine kills, 11 assists and three blocks, Elliott Bailey recorded 12 digs, Jillian Plikerd had 11 digs, Jordan Sexstone had nine digs, Ryelle Gibson and Lily Makin both recorded six kills and Molly Vance added six kills with three aces.
In junior varsity action, Ben Logan dropped Northwestern 25-8, 25-17 and stay unbeaten at 10-0.
Brielle Moorhouse had three kills, two aces, seven assists, three blocks and was 15-16 serving, Lauren Dixon had three kills and nine assists, Kyndal Cronkleton had three kills, five digs and a block, Lily Blackburn had four kills, four aces and four digs, Georgia Bates tallied 14 digs and Brooks Myers added four digs. Ben Logan travels to Tecumseh on Saturday for another CBC contest.
Riverside rolls past LTC
Riverside’s volleyball team grabbed the momentum early and coasted past visiting Lima Temple Christian in three sets 25-21, 25-14, 19 for a Northwest Central Conference win.
The Pirates extend their record to 10-1 overall and 4-0 in the NWCC standings.
Lauryn Sanford powered Riverside with 15 kills and 13 assists, Jenna Woods had 15 kills and eight digs, Olivia Perk tallied six kills, Alaina Snow had four kills with four digs, Sierra Snow dished out 15 assists, Allison Knight had seven digs and Hailee
Harshbarger added six digs. Riverside hosts Indian Lake on Saturday for a local non-league match.
Chiefs can’t stop Braves
Bellefontaine’s volleyball team couldn’t get on track in a four-set loss to visiting Springfield Shawnee 25-15, 25-13, 13-25, 25-17 on Thursday during Central Buckeye Conference action.
The Chieftains drop to 3-6 overall and 1-2 in the CBC Kenton Trail, while the Braves move to 3-4, 1-3.
In junior varsity action, Bellefontaine rallied to beat Shawnee 17-25, 25-21, 25-14.
During Tuesday’s varsity match with London, Bellefontaine senior Ari Nunez set a new school record for career digs. She now has 880 digs.
Bellefontaine’s freshman team lost to Mechanicsburg 25-15, 25-20 on Tuesday. The Chieftains were led by Karys Varner, Ashton Carey and Lauren Valdez.
Triad falls to Cedarville
Triad’s volleyball team failed to get in rhythm against host Cedarville as the Indians rolled to a three set win 25-10, 25-9, 25-19 for an Ohio Heritage Conference victory.
The Cardinals drops to 1-9 on the season and 0-7 in the OHC, while the Indians improve to 5-6, 5-3. Triad hosts Calvary Christian on Saturday.
