Cody L. Cloninger, 28, of Belle Center, was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign related to a non-injury crash in the village of Belle Center Thursday afternoon.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating an eastbound car about 3:55 p.m. on State Route 273 and made a right turn onto Township Road 107.
He then reportedly made a U-turn and attempted to turn back onto S.R. 273. Cloninger failed to yield from the stop sign, and was struck in the driver’s side rear door by an eastbound sport utility vehicle operated by Kimberly J. Tallman, 53, of Mt. Victory.
The drivers and their occupants were wearing their seat belts. Damage was moderate to the car and light to the SUV.
Hit-skip crashes investigated
Deputies responded to a hit-skip crash in the area of State Route 540 at County Road 5 about 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
An eastbound vehicle on S.R. 540 reportedly traveled off the road, struck a road sign, and then left the scene.
• Deputies also responded to a hit-skip crash about 4 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, in Huntsville.
An eastbound vehicle on State Route 274 near Lima Street reportedly went off the right side of the road and struck a road sign and then left the scene.
