Indian Lake senior Austin Parker recently garnered another career highlight by being named the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division player of the year.
Parker was also named to the CBC Mad River first-team squad after leading the league with 20.7 points per game. He helped the Lakers to a 13-9 overall record and an 8-2 mark in the Mad River.
A handful of other area players also earned spots on the recently released all-league team.
Landing spots on the Mad River division second-team were Indian Lake’s Clay Jacobs and Benjamin Logan’s Trey Allen.
Earning Mad River special mention honors were the Lakers’ Nate Reichert and the Raiders’ Keaghan Stahler.
Bellefontaine had two players selected to the Kenton Trail team. Maverick Calton earned second-team honors, while Declan Ashcraft received special mention.
Local players earning the sportsmanship award were Indian Lake’s Luke Jackson, Bellefontaine’s Simon Stolly and Ben Logan’s Ethan Ricketts.
Jonathan Alder won the CBC Kenton Trail championship with a 9-1 mark, while Kenton Ridge’s Tyler Eberhart was named the KT player of the year. North Union claimed the CBC Mad River championship with a perfect 10-0 record.
Making up the rest of the CBC Mad River first team were North Union’s Preston Crabtree and Connor Terrill, Urbana’s Grant Hower and Marion Krebehenne and Northwestern’s Matt Hart.
Filling out the second-team squad were North Union’s Harley Day and Trevyn Feasel, Graham’s Zack Vanscoy and Northwestern’s Korbin Spencer.
Other Mad River special mention selections were North Union’s Zach Vernon, Graham’s Nick Prince, Northwestern’s Taliek Dennis and Urbana’s Nasir Crochran.
Comprising the CBC Kenton Trail first team were Jonathan Alder’s Jackie Santa Emma and Jackson Izzard, Kenton Ridge’s Eberhart, London’s Trey Woodyard, Shawnee’s Isaac Siemon and Tecumseh’s Easton Lewis.
Others selected to the second-team squad were Jonathan Alder’s Henry Walker, Kenton Ridge’s Collin Perkins, London’s Isaiah Hatem, Shawnee’s Drew Mitch and Tecumseh’s Collin O’Connor.
Joining the KT special mention list were Jonathan Alder’s Logan Stevens, Kenton Ridge’s Michael Severt, London’s Jainaz Cameron, Shawnee’s Patrick Fultz and Tecumseh’s Seth Hale.
