Indian Lake’s wrestling team hosted senior night and fell in a super tri-meet Tuesday to Parkway and Kenton Ridge.
The Lakers were dropped by the Panthers 51-21 in the first dual and later lost to the Cougars 45-24. Olentangy Orange also competed in the super tri-meet.
“I was glad that our lone senior Gage Lowery got to wrestle in his home gym one last time,” said IL head coach Ryan Dickson. “He’s wrestled for us all four years of high school. He broke his arm pretty bad in eighth grade, but he stuck with it and has been a solid guy for us during his career. He’ll go on to do good things in his life and our community. We’re going to miss him when the season is over.”
Finishing 2-0 on the night with two pins for the Lakers were Nate Cummins (132), Hayden Pummel (170) and Lane Mefford (182), while Joe Scarberry (195) went 2-0 with one pin and a forfeit.
Indian Lake is back in action Saturday, Feb. 22 for the Central Buckeye Conference tournament at Urbana High School.
