Seth O. Ferguson, 26, of Bellefontaine, and Adrienne R. Wells, 25, of Lakeview, each were issued summonses for domestic violence related to an incident Thursday evening at 14544 Beech St., Lakeview.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the address about 8:15 p.m. on a report of a domestic dispute.
Wells told deputies that during an argument, her boyfriend, Ferguson, had started to throw items around her bedroom and that he had cut an electrical cord to the dryer. Deputies found a pair of wire snips by the dryer that apparently had been used to cut the cord.
Wells told Ferguson to leave the residence, and then he allegedly struck her in her left eye while she was holding her son. He then left the residence. Deputies observed a faint red mark around her left eye.
She said Ferguson had left the home in his vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle in the area of U.S. Route 33 and County Road 57 and initiated a traffic stop.
He told deputies that Wells had pushed him into the washer and dryer, causing minor scratches on his right hand and wrist. He told deputies that she was lying about him assaulting her.
Both parties were issued the summonses since there were conflicting stories from the two defendants and both had sustained minor injuries, deputies said.
