Zanesfield Village Council will soon begin hanging its Christmas display with lights at the gazebo and wreaths around town.
The council met in regular session on Monday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. at the Sloan Library. All council members were present.
Council discussed its plans for upcoming holiday decorations.
According to meeting minutes, resident Mark Berkfield expressed interest in a future council member position.
Council will open positions that will need to be filled for mayor, and on council, effective in January.
Mayor Justin Johns thanked Benjamin Logan School for volunteering their time during Community Care Day.
Johns also read the second reading of the village zoning ordinance which council passed.
Council announced leaf pickup will be through Monday, Nov. 25.
Council will soon need to fill a fire board position in 2020.
The following resolutions were passed:
• annex of portion of Sandusky Street;
• accept the village zoning ordinance;
• and pay the bills totalling $7,197.02.
The next council meeting will be Monday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Sloan Library, 2817 Sandusky Street.
