Eric K. Smith, 26, of 327 S. Miami St., Quincy, was charged with one count of forgery and three counts of receiving stolen property after corrections officers at the Logan County Jail found several stolen checks in his possession.

Funeral home fence damaged in crash

Leonard C. Taylor, 66, of Huntsville, was cited for failure to control following a weather-related crash in front of Eichholtz Funeral Home, 321 N. Main St., Tuesday that damaged the funeral home’s iron fence.
