Zanesfield Village Council members discussed the village’s recent block party during their Monday evening meeting at the Tri-Valley Fire District.
The block party took place July 23 and members detailed feedback from residents and small improvements that could be made in the years to come.
The council also approved a resolution to put the money made from the event into the general fund and to utilize those funds for future block parties.
Members also discussed that the Helen Wonders Blue Park still doesn’t have electric in one of the outlets. Clerk-Treasurer Heather Clapsaddle said the United Way of Logan County grant funds could potentially be used, if the village is approved.
Mayor Joe Fawcett said that trick-or-treat is set Saturday, Oct. 29, from 3 to 5 p.m., for all of Logan County, except for West Liberty.
The finance committee met and approved all July financial reports.
The following resolutions were passed:
• to pay the bills $2,359.56; and
• to approve the Logan County Solid Waste Management District’s amended plan.
The next meeting has been moved to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, because of the Labor Day holiday.
