Felicia K. Pierce, 47, of 325 E. High Ave., was arrested Thursday after she allegedly threatened to beat her 15-year-old son and his father with a golf club.
She was charged with disrupting public service and two counts of domestic violence and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to the residence around 5:15 p.m. and met with the defendant and the victims.
She told officers she was upset with her son who refused to sweep the house as part of his regular chores and her husband for not spanking the boy to discipline him.
She allegedly retrieved a golf club driver and threatened to knock her son to the floor from the chair he was sitting in. She also allegedly threatened to beat her husband and took his cellular phone when he attempted to call police.
Both victims fled the residence and the husband used a neighbor’s phone to call police.
Officers force way into residence
A 47-year-old Bellefontaine woman was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment after officers and personnel from the Bellefontaine Fire and EMS Department forced their way into her northeast city residence around 7:05 p.m. Thursday.
The woman was observed laying on the floor at the rear of her residence. She did not respond to efforts to rouse her, so officers and medics forced open a door to check her. She was breathing but unresponsive, police report.
Officers report a man, who asked for a well-being check on the woman, told them she had been found unconscious recently and he feared for her safety.
