Heather M. VanVoorhis, 24, of 12141 County Road 87, Lakeview, was charged with resisting arrest and persistent disorderly conduct related to an incident at her residence Wednesday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to her address about 9:25 p.m. on a report of an active domestic dispute.
While en route, dispatchers advised that VanVoorhis’ husband, Brian Dennison, 31, had gone outside the home.
Deputies spoke with Dennison and VanVoorhis, and learned they had been pushing and shoving each other during an altercation.
VanVoorhis admitted she threw an alcoholic beverage at Dennison during the dispute.
Deputies observed that she showed signs of being impaired by alcohol.
Neither party wished to file charges on each other and deputies said Dennison made arrangements to stay elsewhere for the night.
Dennison went inside the home to retrieve his belongings, and VanVoorhis reportedly became belligerent with deputies when she was told not to speak with her husband.
The defendant was warned several times to stop screaming or she would be placed under arrest. She did not comply, and she reportedly attempted to elude deputies in an enclosed porch area and then tripped over toys.
She kicked at deputies when she was placed under arrest and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
