A city woman has been charged with a first-degree felony count of attempted murder after she allegedly tried to shoot her husband Friday evening outside of Tumbleweed, 2241 S. Main St., officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report.
Carrie M. Blosser, 32, of 1000 Garfield Ave., Apt. 10, was lodged in the Logan County Jail about 3:15 a.m. Saturday.
Officers responded to the restaurant about 11:35 p.m. on a report of gunshots, and upon arrival, spoke with her husband Anthony Ramos, 32.
Ramos told officers he arrived home after work and Blosser accused him of cheating on her. He agreed to go for “a drive” to talk it over. Blosser drove recklessly to the business, got out of the vehicle and began yelling at people inside the business.
Ramos spotted that she had a handgun out and got in the driver’s seat to drive off. As he was fleeing, Blosser allegedly fired two shots at the vehicle.
Two shell casings were recovered in the area, one in the northeast corner of the Tumbleweed parking lot and the other along south Main Street in the middle of the northbound lanes, officers said.
Blooser then ran from the area. Officers employed several search methods, including K9 Boodik and the department’s drone, but they were unable to locate the suspect. Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office also assisted with the search.
Meanwhile, Ramos was escorted to the residence to retrieve clothing and items for himself and two children in the home.
Officers’ efforts to locate the suspect soon paid off and she was located in the residence. She was taken into custody without incident.
The handgun, however, was not recovered despite an extensive search of the route Blosser took from Tumbleweed to her home and inside the residence, officers said.
