West Liberty-Salem’s baseball team cruised past host Springfield Catholic Central for a 13-0 win in five innings Wednesday during Ohio Heritage Conference play.
The Tigers are now 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the OHC standings.
WL-Salem got out to a comfortable lead early with a 5-0 score after three innings. The Tigers plated three more runs in the fourth inning for an 8-0 lead and added five more runs in the fifth inning.
Offensively, Brandon Upton led the WL-Salem offense going 2-3 with a double and three RBI. Thomas Allen also went 2-3 with a double and one RBI and Tyler Louden went 2-4 with three RBI.
