West Liberty-Salem’s volleyball team saw its postseason journey continue Thursday after dropping Arcanum in four sets 25-18, 23-25, 25-23, 25-14 in a Division III district semifinal match at Brookville High School.
The fourth-seeded Tigers (15-9) now face state-ranked Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy (17-7) on Saturday in a district final at Butler High School at noon. CHCA is ranked sixth in the state coaches poll.
The sixth-seeded Trojans end their season at 12-8.
Michele Smith sparked WL-Salem’s attack with 18 kills, 20 digs, two aces and was 29-31 serving and 27-27 serve receive, Gabby Williams dished out 47 assists, two kills, three aces, six digs and was 13-14 serving, Aleah Reed had five kills and two digs, Bailey Poppe recorded 15 kills, 13 digs one ace and was 10-11 serves received and 13-15 serving, Leah Ropp had four kills, three digs, one ace, one block and was 13-14 serving, Chaley Wade had seven kills, two digs and a block, Olivia Wilcox had 18 digs and was 12-13 serves received, Naomi McGill had one ace, one dig and was 8-10 serving and Ally Garver added 31 digs and was 12-12 serving and 26-27 serves received.
