West Liberty-Salem Schools art students took home first-, second- and third-place, along with The People’s Choice Award, Thursday at the Fourth Congressional District Art Competition.
Ryan Motzko came in first place, while Aubrey Williams placed second, and Sailor LeVan received third. Arianna Chapman, who was unable to attend the ceremony, was awarded The People’s Choice Award.
This is the second year that a West Liberty-Salem student has received first-place in the contest.
U.S. Representative Jim Jordan, R-Urbana, presented the WL-S art students with their certificates.
Ryan’s first-place artwork will be displayed in The Tunnel in Washington, D.C., for one year.
