Wilma Louise Boggs, 82, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday morning, Feb. 9, 2016, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
She was born in Waverly on March 30, 1933, to the late Glenn and Sara Whaley Sager. She also was preceded in death by a son, Dominic Frank Colasante; granddaughter, Lacey Nichole Arthur; and sisters, Margie Rogers and Arlene Buker.
Wilma attended Hilliard High School. She married Dominic Colasante in 1950 and they had three children, including surviving daughters, Sharon Nichols of Johnstown and Teresa (Bob) Beebe of Bellefontaine. She later married Clarence Boggs, and three stepchildren survive, Randal Boggs, Sandra Boggs and Ronald Boggs.
Clarence and Wilma ran Boggs Carpentry and together managed Camp Myeerah for the Girl Scouts. Wilma loved all animals, wild and domestic. She enjoyed line dancing and always had a great sense of humor. Wilma was known to frequent the China Grill and even had her own table.
She loved the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, Troy (Tonya) Orahood, Michelle (Duane) Grooms, Galen Nichols, Craig (Michele) Comstock and Tyler (Lacy) Arthur; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Eldon Sager of Johnstown; and many nieces and nephews. Wilma was “Grandma” to a lot of people, including Shellie and Billy Nichols.
Pastor Gene Phelps officiate a funeral at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where visitation is two hours prior. Private family burial is in Zanesfield Cemetery.
