Bellefontaine’s girls basketball team saw visiting North Union pull away in the fourth quarter to a 42-31 victory on Wednesday.
The Chiefs are now 5-2, while the Wildcats improve to 3-1.
The score was tied 14-14 after one period and the Wildcats moved in front 25-22 at halftime.
North Union went on to lead 30-26 after three quarters of action.
The Chiefs were outscored 12-5 in the final stanza.
Alexza Clifton and Tiffany Boop each scored 10 points to lead the Chiefs. Lexi Robinson added nine points.
In the junior varsity contest, North Union won 52-3.
Bellefontaine returns to action Saturday at Tecumseh.
