Jamie Cook, 29, of Russells Point, along with a six-year-old female passenger, each were hospitalized as a result of a two-vehicle crash that occurred shortly before 6 p.m. Monday on State Route 720, just east of Township Road 239. Officers of the Washington Township Police Department report Cook was eastbound on S.R. 720 when she failed to negotiate a curve and slid into the path of a pickup truck operated by Bruce Burton, 74, of Lafayette. The vehicles reportedly collided head-on. Burton was not injured. Cook was cited for failure to control. All occupants were wearing their seat belts. Indian Lake EMS and deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene. Damage was heavy and both vehicles were towed from the scene. (Washington Township Police photo)
