A suspended motorist was arrested on a felony charge of illegal possession of a firearm following a traffic stop around 2 p.m. Tuesday by officers from the Washington Township Police Department.
Anthony Moran-Schubert, 25 of Cincinnati was stopped for a driving under suspension violation on state Route 366 near Township Road 94. After several minutes of speaking with the suspect, officers advised the driver that K9 Bruno was going to be deployed on the vehicle. The suspect eventually admitted to possessing a loaded firearm under the driver’s seat.
A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded 9 mm firearm. The driver was arrested and lodged in Logan County Jail.
