Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department are investigating a domestic violence case, in which, a named male suspect rammed his car into the victim’s sport utility vehicle during an 8:45 p.m. incident Monday.
Brianna Lump, 421 Kent Drive, Apt. 6, told officers she was fleeing the suspect when he drove into the side of her SUV at Troy Road and Columbus Avenue. She was on the phone to 911 dispatchers at the time.
She was able to continue northbound after the crash to Sandusky Avenue before turning eastbound to the police station.
The suspect allegedly pursued after her.
Man jailed after drug abuse treatment
Robert A. Dickinson Jr., 42, of 513 W. Columbus Ave., was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and public intoxication after a 3:40 p.m. incident Tuesday in a tree-line behind his residence.
He was found attempting to pull a small tree from the ground. He was sweating profusely with pinpoint pupils which led officers to believe he was under the influence of drugs.
A black backpack was found in the rear yard and his father told officers it belonged to the suspect. It contained a hypodermic syringe.
A Bellefontaine squad arrived and transported him to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.
Upon medical release, he was lodged in the Logan County jail.
Iowa runaway detained
A Cedar Falls, Iowa, teenager was taken into custody Wednesday as a runaway.
Alexander A. Reyes, 16, was found in the parking lot north of the interchange for U.S. routes 68 and 33 after a witness reported the teen was nearly hit while crossing U.S. 68 around 1:10 a.m.
He was lodged in the Central Ohio Youth Center to await pickup by Iowa authorities.
