Deputies responded about 1:30 a.m. Saturday to 9800 County Road 26, West Mansfield, to speak with Devin Haver regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.
He reported that his 2007 Ford Taurus had been stolen from his residence at 11185 Kiowa Path, Lakeview. He said the vehicle had been parked in his driveway behind the garage, and he had discovered it missing after arriving home from work that day. He said the vehicle had been unlocked and the keys were in the glove compartment.
Driver issued summons during traffic stop
Diamond X. Phillips, 26, of 400 N. West St., Apt. 8, Bellefontaine, was issued summonses for possession of marijuana, and was cited for speed and no operator’s license during a traffic stop about 5:15 p.m. Friday.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop with Phillips’ vehicle for a speed violation on U.S. Route 33 near East Liberty. Phillips told deputies that his driver’s license was not valid because he was currently on felony parole for drug trafficking.
K9 Thor performed a exterior sniff of the vehicle and indicated on the passenger side. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and deputies recovered a small amount of suspected marijuana and a prepared blunt under the driver’s seat.
Son charged with domestic violence
Elijah DiSilverstri, 17, of 11900 County Road 87, lot 52, Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident Friday at his residence.
His mother stopped at the sheriff’s office about 1 p.m. to report that Elijah had threatened her and chased her out of her residence. She provided deputies with a video of the incident.
She told deputies she did not feel safe returning home while her son was there.
Deputies went to the address and placed the teen under arrest. He was lodged in the juvenile area of the Logan County Jail.
