MARYSVILLE — Camera crews from Lionsgate television productions have been following Steffen Baldwin, chief humane agent, president and CEO of the Animal Cruelty Task Force of Ohio, to film his work in the area for a potential Animal Planet television show, according to local reports.
The idea for the show arose when TV officials reached out to Baldwin after he blogged about his job and dogs on the Huffington Post. He since has been working with producers to film in both Union County and around Ohio.
Television executives will decide whether or not to pick up the show by the end of April. If picked up, the program will focus on the three tenets of ACT — educate the owner, assist the animal and enforce laws.
Mr. Baldwin was involved with the management of Logan County’s Top of Ohio Pet Shelter in recent years.
