Anthony R. Flowers, 33, of Bellefontaine, was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a 2:45 p.m. Thursday incident at his residence.
His girlfriend, Christeina Borghese, of 629 N. Main St., called for assistance with Flowers after he made statements about hurting himself.
He became extremely agitated with officers and demanded they leave him alone. He told officers he was gathering his property to leave Borghese’s residence.
Officers offered his a ride but he began to curse at them. At one point, he dropped his possessions on the floor and aggressively walked toward an officer. The officer had to use a straight arm to keep Flowers at distance.
Flowers would not back up and he was forcibly taken to the ground. He battled with officers as they tried to handcuff him. One officers used a taser to shock Flowers twice with a contact stun and Flowers complied after the second stun charge.
While en route to the Logan County Jail, the defendant began to slam his head into the passenger compartment divider of the cruiser.
• Danny L. Reprogle, 37, of 632 W. Williams Ave., was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct, officers report.
Officers responded to a 10:30 p.m. assault call. One officer met with Reprogle while another met with the alleged victim Adam Emerick at 504 Walker St.
They learned no assault occurred, but Reprogle allegedly threatened Emerick.
