Todd M. Neu, 48, of 547 E. Columbus Ave., Apt. 18, was charged Saturday with felonious assault.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to the residence at 3:40 a.m. and met with April Buck of the same address. She told them Neu had pulled her hair and twice shoved her face toward the floor of the apartment in a drunk rage. He had fled prior to officers arriving on scene.
Neu was not found as officers patrolled the area during the shift.
By evening, officers met again with Buck at her place of work and learned the suspect had returned home around 10 a.m. She showed a photograph of scalp injury where two to three inches of hair was missing from her front hairline.
He was located at the residence, taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Jail on an original charge of domestic violence. The charge was upgraded after officers conferred with the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.
• Kaden Payne, 19, of 813 Heritage Court, Apt. 60, was charged Friday with domestic violence and abduction after he alleged assaulted Haleigh K. Miller, 19, of 816 Heritage Court, Apt. 1, and would not let her out of a bedroom during a 4:10 p.m. confrontation.
Payne and Miller had been living together and she is pregnant with their child, officers report. Miller had visible injuries to her head and neck.
Payne claims he did not assault Miller but did grab onto her when she began to hit him.
Officers lodged the suspect in jail.
Mom violates CPO
Ashley N. Eley, 35, of Bellefontaine, was arrested Sunday for violating a civil protection order after she allegedly had been in contact with her 14-year-old son.
Officers observed three videos she sent to her son in violation of the court order. Eley was located at 9:15 p.m., taken into custody and lodged in jail.
She admitted to sending the videos but did not believe it violated the order which stated she could not call nor text her son.
