Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report three vehicle occupants were arrested late Sunday evening for charges of possession of dangerous drugs during a traffic stop on County Road 130.
Defendants Kiana R. Oppy, 19, of 1176 Township Road 204, Bellefontaine; and Deasia N. Stiggers, 23, and Rashad R. Roberson, 26, both of Lima, all were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
A deputy on patrol about 11:50 p.m. on C.R. 130 observed a northbound vehicle fail to dim its headlights as it passed the deputy’s cruiser. Deputies said the vehicle turned into a driveway at 5467 C.R. 130, and deputies conducted a traffic stop at that location.
Oppy was identified as the driver, and while speaking with her and the two passengers, deputies observed an odor of marijuana. A probable cause search was conducted of the vehicle, which yielded a bottle of prescription medication prescribed to another individual not in the vehicle. The medication, Naproxen, had been filled by a pharmacy in Chillicothe.
Deputies also located suspected marijuana residue on the passenger seat.
The vehicle occupants each denied ownership of the prescription medication. All three defendants were placed under arrest.
Deputies noted that Oppy also is currently on felony probation through Logan County Common Pleas Court.
