Triad’s girls basketball team battled past host Ridgemont for a 63-48 non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Cardinals jump back in the win column at 4-12, while the Gophers slip to 9-8.
Triad held a 26-19 lead at halftime and stretched its cushion to 16 (50-34) by the end of the third period.
Jenna Ober fueled Triad’s offense with 28 points. Lydia Walls tallied 15 points and Alea Ferguson added nine points.
For Ridgemont, Meadow Cromer led the way with 11 points, Faith Jenkins had eight points and Shauna Richardson and Priscilla Howland each had seven points.
There was no junior varsity game.
Ridgemont hosts Riverside on Thursday in a varsity only contest at 6 p.m. Triad hosts Springfield Catholic Central on Thursday for a varsity-only contest at 7 p.m.
