Thursday’s wild weather conditions began with heavy rainfall, which changed to mixed precipitation and trace amounts of snowfall later in the day. High winds kicked in throughout the day and into early Friday morning as well, with winds gusting up to 50 mph. The high winds uprooted a tree at Red Bud Hill Apartments, 868 E. Sandusky Ave., Bellefontaine, as pictured. Additionally, a Bellefontaine Fire and EMS Department engine responded to a residence in the city about 9:20 p.m. Thursday on a report of a tree that fell on a house and caused multiple holes in the roof. The residence was investigated to check for electrical malfunctions or shortages and structural support issues. No injuries were reported. (MEGHAN ROARK PHOTO)
