Earl Wright, 38, of St. Marys, is facing felony drug charges as a result of a traffic stop Thursday afternoon in the area of state routes 366 and 368.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department on patrol about 4:05 p.m. observed his pickup with an obstructed rear license plate and initiated the stop.
Officers observed evidence of criminal activity and the driver, Wright, was asked to exit the vehicle. A consent search was conducted of the vehicle and officers found a schedule IV controlled substance that Wright did not have a prescription for.
A criminal history check revealed Wright to have prior felony drug convictions. The case has been forwarded to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office for felony drug charges.
