Cardinals’ Ober also selected to first team
West Liberty-Salem senior center Jamie Peterson powered her team to the Ohio Heritage Conference championship this winter. She was recognized for her efforts by recently being selected as the OHC girls basketball player of the year.
Peterson averaged a double-double for the Tigers, who went 13-1 in OHC action.
Joining Peterson on the all-OHC first team was Triad senior guard Jenna Ober.
WL-Salem’s Lily Yoder was included on the OHC second team, while the Tigers’ Mikalia McIntosh received an honorable mention award.
Rounding out the first team were Cedarville’s Isabella Bolender, Southeastern’s Lexie Perry and Greeneview’s Kristen Combs.
In addition to the Tigers’ Yoder, the second team consisted of Cedarville’s Haley Melton, Mechanicsburg’s Mikayla Dodane, Northeastern’s Kaitlyn Moore and Greeneview’s Faith Strickle.
The remaining honorable mention selections were Southeastern’s Libby Hudson and Maddy McKee, Northeastern’s Hayley Suchland, Cedarville’s Maggie Coe, Greeneview’s Frankie Fife and Emily Rinehart and Mechanicsburg’s Elly Schipfer.
