West Liberty-Salem rolled past visiting Indian Lake 6-2 in a Division III girls sectional soccer contest Thursday.
The Tigers are now 10-6-0 and they advance to face top-seeded Anna in the sectional final at 7 p.m. Monday at Bellefontaine’s AcuSport Stadium.
Indian Lake finishes its season with a record of 2-14-1.
Six different players scored goals for the Tigers.
That group included Chloe Bender, Maddie Cole, Megan Hollar, Ava Johnson, Zoie Vermillion and Lily Weaver.
Contributing assists for the Tigers were Hallie Smith with two and Amanda Domachowski and Vermillion with one apiece. Delaney Wade recorded one save in goal for the Tigers.
Lady Raiders fall to Shawnee
Benjamin Logan’s girls soccer team saw its season come to an end Thursday with an 8-0 loss to host Springfield Shawnee in a Division II sectional tournament game.
The Raiders end their season with a record of 11-6-0.
The Braves are now 16-2-0.
“The coaches would like to give a shout out to the seniors for being a great influence on the rest of the girls and leading the team to the best season in school history,” said Ben Logan head coach Cadan Goldstein. “Many records have been broken this year and we couldn’t be more proud of this team. We love you all and will miss you greatly.”
