West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball team pulled out a 43-42 win over host Southeastern on Thursday in a key Ohio Heritage Conference game.
The win improves the Tigers to 11-2 overall and keeps them perfect in the OHC at 7-0. The Trojans slip to 6-6, 3-4.
Southeastern held an 11-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. WL-Salem kept pace in the second quarter with a 10-10 effort. That left the Trojans with a 21-20 edge at the break.
The game continued to stay close in the third quarter as Southeastern led by one (30-29) going into the final period of play.
