Terry Stolly led area runners by claiming the overall title at the sixth annual Liberty Half Marathon on New Year’s Day. The race started in West Liberty and ended in East Liberty.

Stolly was the overall champion with a time of 1:23.08. It was his third win in the event.
Beth Melton won the women’s race with a first-place time of 1:37.26.
Rounding out the top five finishers for the men were Travis Glendenning in second (1:26.52), Ethan Hoening in third (1:27.23), Jared Hites in fourth (1:33.12) and Earl Zilles in fifth (1:35.53).
For the women, Katherine Williams was second (1:43.23), Kristen Huener was third (1:43.45), Crystal Barton was fourth (1:44.44) and Emily Norton was fifth (1:49.23).
