Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office charged a 17-year-old Grove City girl with disorderly conduct after she reportedly ran away from a field trip Thursday evening at Mad River Mountain, 1000 Snow Valley Road, Zanesfield.
Deputies were contacted at 8:50 p.m. by a group home case manager who stated that the teen, Julia Midkiff, had walked away from the group’s activities at the ski resort. She had been spotted walking along U.S. Route 33 near State Route 292.
When deputies located her, she initially provided them with a false name. She was transported back to the ski resort, and after speaking with her case manager, deputies placed Julia under arrest. She was transported to the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
