Michael E. Kater, 50, of 1956 S. County Road 32, was charged Tuesday with domestic violence and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report the suspect was at Casey Allen’s residence around 11:45 p.m. helping set up a television set. He is the father of a child with Allen, the officers noted in reports.
The two began to argue and Kater allegedly shoved Allen down a set of stairs. He also allegedly threatened to kill her entire family using a shotgun before he left the residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s located Kater at his home and arrested him.
• Franklin D. Childs, 52, of 1888 S. County Road 25, was charged Monday with felony illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility and possession of drugs after a 5:35 p.m. traffic stop.
He also was lodged in jail on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear. An officer observed Childs’ car and a check of the license indicated he was driving under suspension and the warrant.
He was stopped in the 2000 block of south Main Street to confirm the warrant. Upon confirmation, the officer arrested him. He reports that he asked Childs several times about possessing illegal substances or items and warned the defendant about advanced scanners at the jail.
A dissolvable strip of drugs for treating opiate addiction was found in the waist band of his pants during a search by jail staff. An X-ray also indicated there was an object in his stomach and he was asked about it. He denied swallowing a foreign object or package.
• Dustin M. Grow, 40, of Warner Robins, Ga., was served Tuesday with a warrant for failure to appear.
