A pair of suspects were arrested about 10 p.m. Thursday on outstanding felony warrants and drug-related charges.
Ryan Warner, 30, of Bellefontaine and Raymond Walters, 32, of Urbana, reportedly were parked in a car outside Speedy Mart, 511 S. Main St., when they were recognized by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department, aware of pending felony warrants for trafficking in heroin, and complicity to traffic in heroin.
Mr. Warner was charged additionally with conveyance of drugs into a detention facility after heroin was reportedly found on his person at the Logan County Jail.
Mr. Walters was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments after officers reportedly recovered heroin paraphernalia from his person.
Both suspects were lodged in Logan County Jail.
Mother charged with child endangering
A mother was charged with child endangering about 10 a.m. Friday after her two children reportedly wandered off from their residence and were located in the middle of Gunntown Road.
Megan Brown, 21, of 501 Gunntown Road, Apt. 45, told police she’d fallen asleep prior to her two- and three-year-old children leaving the residence. She was issued a summons for child endangering.
Wet roads blamed for crash
Charles Parker Jr., 36, of Bellefontaine was cited for failure to control after he reportedly crashed his vehicle into private property in the 800 block of east Sandusky Avenue about 7:50 p.m. Friday.
According to reports, the driver may have hydroplaned on a rain-covered roadway while traveling westbound.
No injuries were reported.
