Menacing charge filed in Sunday incident
Logan B. Hill, 22, at large, was arrest Sunday for aggravated menacing after he allegedly brandished a handgun and threatened Kristen S. Taylor-Gerber at her 617 N. Detroit St. residence.
Taylor-Gerber called for officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department around 3:15 p.m. She told them Hill came to the residence and began banging on the front door. After about 15 minutes, she relented and opened the door but did not invite Hill inside. He allegedly barged in and began yelling at her.
When she tried to hit him, she said he pulled a handgun from the waistband of his pants and threatened to kill her.
He left when she showed him she was on the phone with emergency dispatchers.
Hill, in turn, traveled to the police department to file for a protection order against Taylor-Gerber. He claimed he was at the residence to retrieve his property from her car and that she began to yell at him when she opened the door.
A struggle ensued, he told officers, and his handgun came out of its holster. He said he was able to catch it and reholster it.
The handgun and a rifle were found in his car.
Hill was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
