Susan Lyn Smalley, 60, of Lakeview, passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 24, 2021, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Susan was born on Sept. 26, 1960 in Toledo, a daughter of the late Larry W. Smalley and Patricia Smith Wickliff, who survives in Lakeview.
Susan is also survived by her two children, Zoe (LJ) Henderson of Grove City, Pa., and Ezra Naylor of Lakeview, two siblings, Sarah (Chris Moffitt) Smalley Keith of DeGraff, and Steve (Lynnette) Smalley of Waynesfield, and several aunts, uncle, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Susan was a 1978 graduate of Indian Lake High School. She was a veterinarian technician at Diamond M Veterinary Clinic in Kenton. Susan enjoyed going to concerts and being around people. She was a brilliant and caring person with a keen fashion sense. Susan loved her family and was passionate in her endeavors. Her love of animals led to her creation of Critter Crusaders to provide veterinary care for rescue and stray animals.
Memorial services will be 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, with visitation from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Memorial Contributions in lieu of flowers by Susan’s requests, may be given to Critter Crusaders.
