Kentucky native Brett Hudson won the Spring Fever 200 street stock feature to highlight the season-opening schedule at Shady Bowl Speedway on Saturday.

Hudson started ninth by way of qualifying and then the inversion draw in the field of 31 cars. Hudson nabbed the top spot just before the 100-lap halfway break. After the break, he dominated to get the win.
“We have had a dominant car all day,” said Hudson. “Through qualifying and practice the car was very good. Everything worked out well, I do not know how it could go better. These long races are about saving tires. I just pushed hard the first 100 to get a good position, then once out front I just stayed on the bottom. At the halfway break I made just onc little adjustment. This track is unlike anything else I race on. It is fun, though.”
