West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball team started the game with an offensive surge and did not let up en route to a 47-31 win over host Triad in an Ohio Heritage Conference game Monday.
The Tigers improve to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Cardinals drop to 4-2, 2-1.
“West Liberty is, as always, a very good and disciplined team on offense,” said Triad head coach Jeff Merklin. “They run an excellent half-court offense that takes a lot of effort to defend. Tonight, our halfcourt offense wasn’t as good as it has been the previous four games. I didn’t have us as prepared as we needed to be tonight.”
