After earning its best finish in tournament history last season, Benjamin Logan’s boys basketball team is ready to leave a bigger impact at its annual Tip-Off Classic on Friday.
The Raiders, who finished second at last year’s tourney, have built a stable and respectable season-opening tournament that is preparing for its sixth edition.
“Our Tip-Off is really a first-class tournament,” said Ben Logan first-year head coach Cameron Saylor. “I tip my hat to our administration on how well it has run in the past and as we continue with it. I foresee a very competitive four games between very well-matched programs.”
Riverside begins action against Triad at 6 p.m. Friday. The host Raiders follow against a talented North Union team at 8 p.m. The winners face each other in the championship game Saturday at 8 p.m. The consolation game begins at 6 p.m.
Ben Logan fell to North Union 48-42 in the championship game a year ago.
